Attended my first beach side music festival this weekend all thanks to Glue Store.

A loud shout out to Glue Store for inviting me & a few of my favs to the all good vibes of MTV Australia’s biggest music & food event yesterday, Beats & Eats Festival. This event was held at Stuart Park, Wollongong this year which was right by the beach so of course I had my bikini on. I mean, any excuse to wear a bikini right? haha

A part from all the hottest dance hits & brilliant wicked artists, I love the part that involves ‘what to wear’ 😂 Outfit ideas are endless when it comes to music festivals because unlike other events, where you might need to consider what is/isn’t appropriate to wear? The dress code to a music festival is ‘free spirit’ which basically means you can wear whatever the heck you want. So forget your fancy accessories cause heart-shaped sunglasses & floral head gears are perfectly appropriate here.

I style my outfits around selected colour combinations because I personally find it easier that way. For this look, I chose the colour combo black & blue, & by blue I mean denim cause you know I’m just obsessed with denim. Showing some skin is always necessary at events like these hence this floral embroidered bikini top for that festive vibe, yet being selective at the same time with an oversized denim jacket so that my look remains covered. As for my ripped denim shorts, do I really need to say anything more? They have ‘street style’ written all over it so they’re pretty much perfect for every outdoor event. Finally, a buckle belt & a checked blouse around the waist to provide some contrast & thus complete that western chic look. If it wasn’t for the dancing then I’d probably go with a pair fringe ankle boots. However, these Nike shoes still make a great substitute don’t you think? Not sure if that changes the whole idea of a ‘western chic’ look now though LOl

What’s your favourite music festival & looks?
