‘New Year’s Resolution’ means change & we all need change in order to grow, yes? I’m keeping my list of resolutions realistic so that hopefully I can tick them all off by the end of this year, hope you did also.

Clearly not everyone you cross path with will be nice to you, be nice to them anyway.

My dad taught me this through his actions from when I was at a very young age so I’ve learnt to inherent this.. most of the time haha You know it’s always a challenge because obviously it’s much easier to express hate than it is to show kindness which is why this one makes the list every year. Not going to respond to negativity!

We all know & say how important family is to us, but do we spend enough quality time with them. I know I always try to, however the amount of responsibilities associated to being an adult is just ridiculous. I want to face palm myself everyday, kidding! Not kidding.

I spend time with my family all the time, but I’m not sure if you can call it ‘quality time’. It’s difficult with my family because everyone excluding myself & dad would be on their phones during meal times, not to mention rushing through meals so that they can focus purely on their phones. Now that I’ve gone over this, I’m not entirely sure how I am going to achieve this resolution, but it’s on like Donkey Kong!

This resolution for me mean opportunities to network as well as to learn. When you learn, you grow so I never want to stop learning.

Technically, I had already practiced being more spontaneous in 2016 so this year I just need to power on with making more random plans & just going with it. All my close friends would tell you that I am quite the organising freak. Just because I own a diary for work & social life, have things dones in a certain order, have a colour coordinated wardrobe & research everything there is to know about a place prior to visiting doesn’t mean that I am.. yeah I am a bit of a freak haha I’ve loosen up a little though, I still do the diary management, you can’t take that habit away from me.

A side of me keeps telling myself that if I work more, I’d make more money/time to live a better life later. While the other side of me argues that if I work too much I won’t have time to live because by the time I make ‘enough money’ I won’t be able to live long enough to spend it. It sounds like a no brainer right, but it really depends on what your goals are as well as the type of person you are. Me? I mentioned that I am an organising freak so I worry plenty.. up until mid last year.

Last year, I experienced so many issues with finance to the extent that it made me realise what true happiness is & that is to worry less about the digits in your bank account. So many events happened unexpectedly all at once in 2016 & at one stage everything just fell out of place for me. However, through all the unnecessary stress of ‘wanting to have what I didn’t have’ I learnt to appreciate what I already have which was genuine love & support (from those who are closest to me) & that to me meant more than a river of money. From then, I changed my mindset & it allowed me to do what I wanted to do, enjoy life more & thus become a happier person again. Surprisingly, all good things kicked in from August 2016 onward & I had my life rolling forward at a faster pace than expected.

Right, I’m not saying that money is a negative thing because you can buy happiness with money. I mean I clearly did that; I bought a Border Collie & it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made haha FYI Get yourself an active dog if you really need some motivation.

I don’t come across as a person that is guilty of road rage do I? Unfortunately, I do road rage LOL I hate it when people drive 10km/h under the speed limit or go 5km/h or more over the speed limit. In other words, I hate it when people drive too safe & or too recklessly haha I have this habit of pulling over right beside them to give the longest, most uncomfortable stare then shaking my head & sometimes even other things.. I should stop that.
